New post. Old pics. - Fabio, New Deck, Birthday Party

I finally uploaded the latest pics from my camera. I've definitely become too dependent on my camera phone! Here's a few fun ones. Emerson loves his entertainer, and has figured out how to work all the toys. He's quite proud of himself when he gets the green lizard all the way into his mouth! I have to clean this off regularly though, since the mad drooler is like a faucet!

I took this after our photo shoot with Julie last week. He was hot and exhausted. A little "Fabio"...but he's handsome, nonetheless.

I meant to post these a while back, but never got around to it. We remodeled our deck at the end of September, and LOVE the result. We entertain a lot, and love to be outside, and now we have a great new area to hang out! The last pic shows the area I want to make into a play area for Emerson, rubber mulch and all!
I took these last Friday before we met Jason for lunch. I love him in a hood, such a little boy!

Cameron's third birthday (today) party was last Sunday. I love this picture of Cameron...he had a ball on the blow-up toys! A quick family pic and a close up of Mr. Irresistible in his new hat! Seriously. The lips.

Emerson loves his naked time, and is vocal and physical pretty much all the time now. He rolled from his playmat to the edge of the blanket. I'm going to have to cage this kid soon!

Baby Bear

Since I took the day off today, Emerson and I lounged in bed until about 8. I had my phone nearby, so when he went into his bear mode (aka growling), I picked up my phone and started recording. Here's a snippit of the baby bear. A few seconds in he makes this funny high-pitched noise! He's really exploring his voice right now!

p.s. He slept from 8:30pm - 7:30am last night!

Roly-poly growler

We had a good weekend! Mostly ;)

I was sick with the flu Friday night into Saturday, so Jason and Em kept their space. Ugh, miserable. Feeling much better now though. I was feeling well enough to cheer the Buckeyes on though! It just feels good to beat Michigan! I was so out of it, that Saturday afternoon, I was about to give Emerson a bath, when Jason told me he already did that morning. How did I miss that?

On Sunday, Emerson went to his first birthday party, and slept through most of it. His cousin turned 3, and had a play party at SportsOhio. Think big blow up toys and lots of Thomas the Train stuff. Emerson watched the big kids play, and will be a blast in those in a couple years!

Emerson is my amazing little sleeper. He's always been a great sleeper, but he's now sleeping solid from 9-7. Give or take a half hour on either end. He's such a dreamy little boy. He goes down fine, goes to sleep without a struggle and wakes up just talking away. And his newest thing is growling. Seriously. Of course he growls. And he laughs when he does it! He's gone from the talking and cooing to growling! I need to get it on video so I can share it with everyone. He will go back and forth with us too. Is he confused with the middle name? Does he think he's a T-Rex? Quite possibly.

Emerson is becoming very tactile, and grabbing onto anything and everything. One of his favorites is my hair. And then he tries to eat it. He grabs toys, bottle, spoon, everything! He's rolling all over the place. He'll start on one end of the living room, and ends up doing 7 or 8 rolls clear to the other side.

We're looking forward to Thanksgiving in Columbus! Emerson's a big eater, so we got him his own turkey. Stay tuned, I have some fun stuff planned with the bugger during my time off.

Emerson...taking in the game in the basement!
We were winning by so much, that Emerson gave in for a nap
Thug-a-licious. The lips. The cheeks. This is why I want to eat his face.

A little grainy, but Emerson is playing with his new dog from Terra and Andrew
A fuzzy one, but this definitely depicts how busy Emerson is right now. Constantly moving!

Cabin Weekend

So, before I tell you about the cabin weekend, I wanted to share just these two 15 week pictures of Emerson. The boy cracks me up. I could eat his face off when he's in this vest! So cute!
So...Cabin Weekend! The weekend of the 15th, we had 5 couples and a few kiddies at the annual Fall Birthday Extravaganza Weekend at Hocking Hills. Good times! We played fun games after the kids went to bed, ate lots of good food (think Jambalaya, Chili, Stuffed Shells, Buffalo Chicken Dip, Chili Dip, Breakfast Burritos - all in one weekend!), watched insane amounts of football, all with a roaring fire going! We usually hike, but it rained most of the weekend, so we just parked it at the cabin.

Jason was taking this pic...so your guess is as good as mine. Something silly of course!

Emerson had lots of "mommies" this weekend, including Terra!
Here he's showing her how he uses one hand to wedge the other into his mouth!

Terra with Em again, and Hollie, Markwood, and Natalie
Cameron LOVED Emerson's entertainer...
I think we know what we're getting him for Christmas ;)

Yes, you're looking at Jason's new favorite sweatshirt. After Jason "admired" these at the Pumpkin Show in October, Terra went back to get him one! He wore it a large part of the weekend. And the PBR just made it seem right. Over the course of the evening, he named every horse.
Em, just hanging out...he really was a doll the entire weekend.
Ummm...did I catch you doing something? You look guilty!

This is what I like to call "romantical".
And we weren't trying to match. I was cold and borrowed the sweatshirt.
Hanging out with Leah
I am going to keep glow sticks on hand...he LOVED playing with Cameron's. They're non-toxic, right?

We had a photo shoot with our photographer tonight. We snuck in a few outside before we lost daylight. It was cold! For the inside pics, Emerson was unusually cranky, so I have no idea how they will turn out. I thought we timed it right in between naps, but the boy is still figuring out a schedule. So we'll see! I'll be sure to share the gallery once she posts! Onto a nice long weekend with the baby boy. I have NOTHING on the calendar tomorrow. We'll probably sleep in (7ish) and have a relaxing morning. We may even make a trip to Tuttle to do a bit of Christmas shopping. Maybe meet Jason for lunch. I love love love having Fridays off. It keeps me sane.

Bedtimes and smiles

Emerson is 15 weeks old today, and thinks he's a big boy! He sits up with minimal support, loves to stand (w. support), and eats his cereal better than the much older kids at daycare. He only fits in 6-12 month outfits, and is already cutting two teeth! Our baby giant is changing in front of our eyes! Jason and I soak up every minute with him.

I've been working to get Emerson's bedtime earlier, since he was previously going to bed around 10. I've been settling him in and getting his last bottle in around 9. Nine to nine-thirty is what I'm working toward (and eventually earlier). The last two nights have been a success! So much so, that after my workout last night, I came back downstairs at 9 and put his PJs on him, and within 5 minutes he fell asleep on the couch. He falls asleep like the angel I believe him to be. He was laying there by himself while Jason and I were packing daycare bags, setting the coffee, and cleaning up the kitchen. I walked back into the room, and he was doing his "sleep-smiling"...where he is drifting off, and has the most perfect smile on his face. He also works in a few giggles when he drifts off like this.

Coming soon...an update from the birthday extravaganza weekend at the cabin! Fun pics and good times!

Baptism

This is a little overdue, but Emerson was baptized November 9. We went to St. Thomas the Apostle, where our favorite priest is, Father Denis. We haven't landed at a church yet in Columbus, so we've been church-hopping. Because of this, we decided that it was more important to have Emerson baptized by someone we know and love, rather than at a church in our neighborhood. We had a great day! After the baptism, we had about 25 people over the house to celebrate. Emerson was surrounded by his friends and family, including his god-parents, Auntie Jessi and Michael. We ate, and drank, and had a great time!

Fr. Denis with our family

Emerson loved the water and oils!
If you look closely, you'll see the pacifier MID-AIR! It landed in the holy water! Thank you Baby Jesus for guiding it into the baptismal font and not letting it land on the floor! The Lineberger/Zielinski families (sorry Toledo, these are Jess's pics...I don't have the one of Zielinski/Jankowski families yet)
Emerson with his Poppy, and his adorable hat. He clearly loves it.
Finally...get-naked-and-play-time!

Auntie Jessi's birthday, 13 weeks, 14 weeks, and nudies

November has always been an incredibly busy month for my family. My birthday is on the 17th, Jessica's birthday is on the 14th, Jason and my anniversary is on the 4th (Jason made a delicious dinner at home!), there's Thanksgiving, and we always have a big weekend in November at a cabin at Hocking Hills with a big group of friends. There will be multiple blogs, covering multiple events this month! I don't know what I was thinking also having Emerson baptized this month! He was baptized this past Sunday, but since I'm waiting on pictures from others, I'll post that later.

Some old pics below are from Emerson's 13th week! Sheffield was feeling left out, so after I put the blocks out, he wanted his picture taken, and I obliged!
The baby boy! The letters look good... Starting to get excited!...
And there go the letters.. Momma fixed them...kind of.
I adore this pic...not only does it capture his crazy drooling right now, but he's naked.
And the boy LOVES his naked time! (check out that butt!)
So, being the good sister that I am, I COMPLETELY surprised Jessica with a 30th birthday party! We have all had so much going on, that we just planned a small family dinner at Hyde Park for this past Friday. And then she would celebrate ON her birthday with a group of girls. When she got there, 25 of her nearest and dearest were there waiting! So fun! And I only have a few pics, b/c I was having THAT much fun!
Emerson is changing so much right now. I can't believe he is 14 weeks old today! He's growing out of outfits before he has a chance to wear them twice! He's still gagging himself regularly, and eating like a champ.
Oh, and since there just wasn't enough going on this month, I also scheduled a photo shoot with our photographer on the 20th! SURE! WHY NOT!?!?!
