8 Months of Scarlet

That number (8) seems so close to 12! Which means a year! Which just can't be this close!

Little Scarlet is a happy, healthy, 8 months old. She has very busy legs and loves to play in any exersaucer or bouncer. She often tries to bounce right out of your grasp. It's like there are springs in those not-so-little legs!

The smiles keep coming. If I could package and sell them, I'd be a millionaire. Scarlet doesn't get down. Ever. Hungry, tired, sick. You never really know, because she's always smiling. If she has a bit of a fuss, we'll lay her down and she sleeps. It's her way of saying, "Fools, I'm beat. Let me sleep."

Since her ear surgery, she's talking so much! Lots of noisemaking, including little birdy singing sounds from the back of her throat. The latest sound interest is all things "daaah."

Not technically crawling yet. She tries to get herself going, but then reverts to her skydive pose, on her belly with all four limbs in the air. She just rolls to wherever she wants to go.

All signs are pointing to Scarlet being as goofy as her big bro.

Just sweetness.

What's that? We're going to be in the car for almost 6 hours this weekend? Cool!

Cuddling up with Great Grandma Z.

Catching up on a little reading during a long car ride.
This is her look now...big chunky cheeks...and yes, always smiling.
She's so eager to crawl...
And keeps us laughing as she tries!

Someone figured out the game of dropsies!!!
