Emerson started playing Locker Soccer this time last year, and had a really great time! In Locker Soccer, they don't play games, it's just drills and play time. He seemed to be getting a little bored with it, so, when he turned 4, we knew he'd be ready for games. He's playing up a year with Gahanna Soccer Association, with the 5 year olds, and is doing great so far! He had his first game last night, and there's nothing quite like watching a bunch of 4- and 5-year olds chasing a soccer ball around the field. It's like a little cluster of bees, buzzing along.
Em had a great game. He spends a lot of time on the ground, self-induced. I didn't realize he might also need knee pads in addition to shin guards. We don't keep score (wink), but his team did exceptionally well (10-2) and he had a ball (5 goals!).
