I'm two-thirds of the way through my maternity leave, and trying to enjoy every moment, and every day. It's such a luxury to have this time at home with Scarlet and Emerson. I love playing "Susie Homemaker" and have really enjoyed home projects, cooking, baking, and just soaking up the kids. We make regular visits to the park, go on lots of neighborhood walks, and squeeze in lots of lunch dates with friends. And my time at home through the week has freed up our weekends for fun with family and friends!
It's fall in Ohio, which means OSU football!

| Decked out, and ready to go! |
| You can't see her little booties, but she has OSU Chuck Taylor's! Thanks to Great Aunties Lala and Beth! |
| Emerson and Berlynn, taking a Super Mario break during the game. |
| I love that they're at the ages where they play together! Berlynn is the boss! |
Labor Day weekend meant an extra day for play! We spent time with our family by love, the Nelsons and Barkers, and introduced the newest family member to them. Jen is a total baby hog and held Scarlet nearly all day. Emerson, Ruby, Sabin, and Oliver ran wild through the yard and house, and had a blast together!

| The girls |
| The boys, enjoying ice cream, and having a contest to see who is the tallest, because that's what matters when you're 3, 4, and 5 years old! |

| Emerson, and cousin-by-love, Ruby, enjoying the last few days of warm weather! Rain can't stop us! |

We made our first trip with Scarlet to Toledo to meet the Zielinski "Greats" and celebrate Dzia Dzia's birthday. We had beautiful weather, and got in lots of quality time with family and neighborhood friends.
| A precious moment...first meeting. |
| Backyard races with the cousins (I'm pretty sure Emerson cheated here!). |
| Doting. |
