Last night, while eating flatbread and macaroni on the living room floor, picnic style, Emerson noticed that Jason and I were using forks for macaroni, while he was using a spoon.
EMERSON --- "Daddy, you're using a fork?"
JASON --- "Yes."
EMERSON --- "Whyyyyy?"
JASON --- "Because it makes sense."
EMERSON --- "Mommy, you're using a fork?"
ME --- "Yes."
EMERSON --- "Whyyyyy?"
ME --- "I find it easier to pick up macaroni with a fork than a spoon."
EMERSON --- "You guys are awesome."

hilarious! i love the things kids say. wren was roaring at me like a lion and i acted scared- he then said "oh my goodness". such a crazy fun age these two year olds are!
