Emerson and I decided to take a little break from the patient yesterday, and headed out to the lake (Buckeye Lake) with Terra and Leah. For those of you that don't know, Jason had some major nose and throat surgery earlier this week. They removed his tonsils, and basically reconstructed his entire nose. He was (as the doc says) a mess in there.We left Jason to his pain meds and gatorade, and headed out for a few hours. It wasn't the greatest boating weather, but still nice to get out on the water for a little bit. Although we didn't get out there at all last summer (Terra's wedding and Emerson's birth), most summers we are out there every other weekend, so I needed my fix. Dependent on Jason's health, we may be headed back out for fireworks tomorrow. Overall, he's doing ok, but is in a good amount of pain. Thank heavens for strong medication!
