Days on Buckeye Lake are different now, than college and post-college days. Back in the day, Terra and I, and whoever else was free, would head out to her Dad's near Memorial Day, clean up his boat, and spend the summer weekends gallivanting around Buckeye Lake. Most weekends, we had nowhere to be, so we gassed up, and headed out. What's that you say? Lunch and beers at Papa Boo's at 10am? Sure! 4pm...let's swing by Copper Penny and people watch while we drink a few Busch Lights in cans. Gone are those days. Now, we have a different kind of fun when we visit our favorite backyard lake.
Berlynn turned three earlier this month, so we celebrated by taking the boat out with the Lipps, and after pizza at Papa Boo's with their entire family, headed out to the sandbar with the kiddos. I love sharing this experience, although different, with the next generation.

| The birthday girl and Emerson...ready to roll! |
| Scarlet...less than pleased about wearing a life jacket. |
| Her sense of humor is well beyond her years. |
| This was before the sun came out. He loves the water...the boat...everything about it. |
| The Lipps. The best friends a family could ask for. |
| A very excited birthday girl. |
| There's that sun! Look at that glorious lake behind him! |
| The fam. Scarlet needed this nap. And I love Emerson's face in this. One-eyed Willie...holding onto his towel and snack cup, pretzel in mouth. |
| Gotta love that the babes will nap on the boat. Norah didn't want to be left out. |
| Zonked. |
| Cap'n Em. And Mr. Tom. |
