This baby boy of ours is ALL boy! He continues to crawl and explore every nook and cranny he can get to. He'll climb over, under, and then back over, and back under. He'll crawl atop any obstacle, just to climb down on the other side. Everything is a truck that can be pushed, with or without wheels. He gobbles down food like a little piggy, and entertains throughout the meal. He will mimic a sneeze, a song, a laugh, a cough. Emerson continues to be a hilarious little boy! Not so much baby anymore, it's true he's becoming a little boy. Can someone please remind him he's not even 10 months old yet!
Emerson is eating 100% table food. We're just trying to finish off the remaining jars. He devours grilled chicken, watermelon, canteloupe, grapes, chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, carrots, peas, green beans, etc. Strangely, his favorite pureed food, bananas, is his least favorite table food. He loves his snacks of goldfish, crackers, cheerios, anything crunchy. This transition to real food makes dinner time easier, and forces us to eat healthier too!
This past weekend was a busy one. Jason had a guys weekend in Cleveland, and went to three Yankees games. Although we missed him, we had a full weekend! Friday afternoon we spent a couple hours at the pool. Emerson loves swimming (this makes momma SO proud)! He drinks the water and likes to *jump* from the side into my arms. He also loves to watch the other kids!
Friday night we had a slumber party with Auntie Jess. Saturday was another busy day with Emerson doing a 5k with Mia (Grandma Lineberger) and her friends at Fisher Catholic. While he was doing that, I went to a bootcamp with 4 girlfriends and Dre the trainer! It was great! We're going to do it on a monthly basis. After that we headed back to Columbus for some down time, before my other two sisters from another mother, Jen and Lorena, came over. We sat outside and enjoyed wine and appetizers. Great evening! It doesn't end there. On Sunday, Emerson and I made an impromptu zoo visit, and I'm so glad we did! We got to see the new baby elephant! It was a gorgeous day, and we just walked around to a few exhibits after seeing the adorable Beko.
What tiger?

Can you see the baby in the distance?

Emerson would like to give a special shout out to his Auntie Mel, celebrating a birthday today, and to his great aunt Lala (Laura Lineberger) celebrating the anniversary of her 29th birthday. Happy birthday, Aunties!
